ZINGER is a standout, Great phenotype and bone structure. His fiber is very consistent throughout his whole frame. He is the spitting image of his sire, ZAGATO, ARI #32423105, a multi-ribbon champion! Zagato produced a boy in his likeness with SA Peruvian What's Cooking (Cookie), and he is a real Zinger! He has all the attributes of a great one like his Sire, Multi-Judge's Choice and Champion, Sunset Hill's Zagato. We purchased him with his mom, Cookie, at the Las Vegas Priority Auction , 2017, and what a looker. The judges at AlpacaPalooza and the Great Western Alpaca Show in 2017 were very impressed. "Consistent fiber throughout, Great phenotype, solid confirmation with great bone density". 2020 ZINGER is a Proven Herd Sire with several offspring on the ground. April 2023 upddate: We have 5 Zinger offspring going to the Great Western Alpaca Show. They will all compete in walking fleece, halter and three will compete in a class called Get of Sire (3 alpacas with the same sire but different dams), and two will compete in Produce of Dam (2 alpacas from the same dam, at least 1 year apart - in this case also the same sire). We are hoping they all do well. Each alpaca will be judged comparatively on traits passed down from their sire, Zinger. March 24, 2024 We are once again taking Zinger offspring to the Great Western Alpaca Show/Rocky Mountain Alpaca Showcase. This time to Cheyenne, WY, May 3-5, 2024. Our first visit to Cheyenne, WY, with our two youngest male crias, Sawdust's Albizia (also known as Moose) and Sawdust's Linden, to show. Sawdust's Ceiba, Murwiti, and Tabasco are making their 3rd appearance at a show, as they were at GWAS last year, then to Gold Country Gathering in October 2023, and now again to GWAS/RMAS. 2026 We are sad to announce our RETIREMENT SALE, where we are offering significant discounts on packages and entertaining offers. Renee and Rick Ritenour have described The Countess as an exceptional alpaca, possessing a remarkable genetic profile and outstanding fleece quality. Her sire, Alpaca Palace's Houdini, is a multi-champion and Judge's Choice winner, known for his unique combination of brightness, fineness, and density in his cria. The Countess's dam, Alpaca Palace's The Duchess, boasts the finest fleece on their farm, a trait she inherited from her parents, Accoyo America Zeus and PVA Queen of Hearts. Renee and Rick Ritenour highly recommend adding The Duchess to your foundation's production herd to bring these fantastic qualities to your alpaca herd. On 10/5/21, Countess was bred to Alpaca Palace's Zinger for a 2022 cria. Unfortunately, Countess lost her cria, which was probably due to all the smoke from the wildfires all around us. However, we are delighted to inform you that we have bred Countess to Alpaca Palace's Zinger for a cria due in April 2023. The vet has confirmed that she's pregnant and we're eagerly awaiting the arrival of her offspring. We have some fantastic news to share! On May 12, 2023, Countess gave birth to a handsome male cria weighing 18.8 pounds. We have named the cria Sawdust's Linden, and he's already showing off his straight, strong bone and beautiful crimpy fleece. We can't wait to see him make his debut at his first halter show in Cheyenne, WA in May 2024. We're grateful to have Countess and her beautiful offspring as a part of our family! 10/2025 Countess has been bred to Sawdust's Armandi (A Crescent Moon Buster son/ Elite Crescendo grandson) for an October 2026 cria. Meet Linden, the latest gem in Sawdust Alpacas' collection! Born on May 12, 2023, this little wonder is adorned with very crimpy, dense fiber and a stunning medium fawn coat with a hint of grey and white. His conformation is impeccable, featuring straight ears and a straight back. Linden is a spirited young alpaca, always ready for a playful run with his friend, Black Limba, who is about the same size but seven months older.

2023 Linden is the first cria born this year and takes after his impressive sire, Alpaca Palace's Zinger (ARI # 35180524), who is a Sunset Hills Zagato offspring. His dam is Alpaca Place's Houdini's Countess (ARI # 354013151), who comes from a line of exceptional alpacas, including Alpaca Palace's Houdini and Alpaca Palace's The Duchess.

Purchase Terms

We will offer financing if you need that option. However, we reserve the right to keep the animals (at your expense) until your contract is paid in full. You will be charged a per diem fee (negotiable) while your animals are still on our ranch. You will need to carry your own insurance on the animals you purchase. 35% down, interest at prime rate plus 1%, payments will depend on length of time financed.
